Storm Water Removal and Restoration in an Affton Home
The groundwater from the storm entered the living room via the sliding doors and deposited mud and debris along with the water. The SERVPRO of Affton/Webster Groves Applied Structural Drying experts removed the wet carpet and padding and demolished the opposing wall. We elevated the wall unit above the water and dampness of the concrete pad to salvage during the drying process. Our air movers and dehumidifiers completed the removal of moisture, and we used moisture meters to verify that the pad was ready for the installation of a new hardwood floor. We treated the framing of the exposed wall to inhibit mold and bacterial growth before placing new drywall. Another job completed that pleased the homeowners.
